Balanced Ventilation (Air Quality & Condensation Control)

Most Home ventilation products sold in NZ for ventilation fall into two catergories - Positive Pressure systems come in the most variations but alloperate on pushing roof space air down through ceiling grills to pressurise out out damp air,Issues such as cold roof air being introduced,Smells from the roof cavity entering the house and the constant and expensive filter changes are turning many people away from PPV systems, their are also claims that they can heat your home but please read this if considering one of these systems.
Our prefferred system is using Balanced ventilation systems such as the Mitsubishi Electric Lossnay and the Cleanaire HRV.
Both activley and in a measurable way remove stale air from the house and replace it with clean fresh air at the same rate,therefore the air pressure within the house is balanced.The beauty of these two brands is they both use reliable and professionaly made heat exchangers to recover energy from the stale air.This recovered energy is transferred to the fresh air increasing its temperature reducing the requirement for additional excessive heating.
Proper ventilation reduces internal moisture issues which greatly assists in removing condensation and improves indoor air quality.
